Weight: "A" weight paper is the lightest, most flexible kind. Best for most jobs.

Thorough cleaning: Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface when sanding is finished. Use a rag dampened with mineral spirits to remove dust. Turn rag frequently and re-moisten to prevent spreading the dust around.
Vacuum: Use a vacuum with brush first for larger areas.
